Simchat Torah

Simchat Torah (“rejoicing in the Law”) celebrates the completion of the annual reading of the Torah.

Simchat Torah is a joyous festival, in which we affirm our view of the Torah as a tree of life and demonstrate a living example of never-ending, lifelong study. We parade our Torah around the sanctuary before completely unrolling it so that we can view the entire text. During the Torah service, we read the concluding section of Deuteronomy, followed immediately by the opening section of Genesis (B’reishit).

Check out our calendar for the date and time of our Simchat Torah service.
