Death & Bereavement

Cemetery 2

In the Event of a Death, call the Temple Office at (425) 259-7125, or contact any member of the Bereavement Committee.

Jewish funerals enable us to show our respect for the deceased and to comfort the living.  The Jewish funeral or memorial service enables us to celebrate and sanctify the lives of our loved ones and offers those in mourning the chance to grieve within a sacred community.

Funerals may be held at a funeral home, graveside, or in some cases the Temple Beth Or sanctuary. For more information, please contact us.

To provide for the needs of the local Jewish community, Temple Beth Or has purchased a section in the GAR Cemetery in Snohomish. Members and non-members may purchase plots either pre-need or at the time of need.

Temple Beth Or has established relationships with the funeral homes listed below. Other funeral homes may be used. Please contact us if you need help deciding which funeral home is appropriate for your specific needs.

The GAR Cemetery has a new online feature, called Chronicle. It allows you to view the entire cemetery, including our section. It shows which plots are occupied, reserved, or vacant. For the occupied plots, you can see a picture of the headstone and print out a pdf report showing the location of the plot. You can also search by name, date of death, or
date of interment. The public has access to this map here.
Another interesting option is to create a “Life Chronicle” (pictures and stories) for an individual plot for a one-time price of $49.
