Beginner’s Adult Hebrew Course

Beginning in March, Temple Beth Or is excited to offer to special opportunities to study Hebrew with expert teachers!
The Monday evening beginners’ class will cover the Hebrew alphabet and basic Hebrew decoding. Our instructor is Heidi Piel, a Jewish educator who has taught at Reform temples in the greater Seattle area, including Temple Beth Or’s own Hebrew school program.

We also have a Sunday evening intermediate class that will cover Hebrew appropriate for the use of the prayer book (Siddur) and reading the Hebrew of the Torah. This class may be used as a stepping stone to those seeking an adult B’nai Mitzvah ceremony as well as becoming service leaders and Torah readers. Our instructor is Jeremy Alk, long time Seattle-area Jewish educator and professional Hebrew and Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutor.
